1. What is a Murder Mystery party?

An event where guests are assigned a character, script and narrative to live out their very own murder mystery scenario. Each downloadable pack has a different theme, so you should find something that you and your guests will love. Each script is broken down into three acts, allowing for breaks/dinner courses. At the end of the third act, the killer's identity is revealed.

 

2. How do I choose a script?

Before choosing a script, it's important to know how many guests you are expecting. Our scripts are designed for a wide range of numbers, so you will have no problem finding something that suits your needs.

 

3. How do I know if the script is age appropriate?

Kids or teens attending? No problem! Each script has been given an age rating in its description. However, try not to be put off too much if your chosen script is listed as inappropriate for children – there's nothing in any of our content that we wouldn't be comfortable saying in front of our own mothers. If you're still unsure, feel free to get in contact with our customer service team for advice.

 

4. What is included in my MMD pack?

Your printable pack will contain everything you need: character sheets, a question menu, three acts, status cards and most importantly, detailed instructions so you can't go wrong! It couldn't be simpler.

 

5. How long will my game last?

It's entirely up to you! Playing a game from start to finish, without any breaks, should take you around an hour. However, we'd recommend between each act, partly to allow people to eat, drink and have comfort breaks

 

6. What happens if one of my guests can no longer attend?

Not a problem! Each game is designed to function with any number of players. If a guest can no longer make your party, simply remove their character sheet from the pack and enjoy your evening as planned.

 

7. Do I need any props or costumes? 

Props and costumes are entirely optional and can be a nice addition to your evening. The characters involved in each pack are listed in the description section along with a short bio. Using this information, it would be really easy to find suitable costumes and props.

 

8. Is it possible to run an event with only a small number of guests?

Of course. A small number of guests doesn't stop you from running your murder mystery game. Even if you have less guests than the advised minimum for your chosen pack, you have plenty of options. Why not have one person play more than one role? Or why not have a pet play a character? There are lots of creative solutions available.
